June 14, 2007 Annual Meeting
The Association of Independent Living Groups at MIT (AILG) annual meeting on Thursday, 14 June beginning at 6:00 pm in the MIT Faculty Club. As per usual practice, this is a combination social event and business meeting; dinner will be served, followed by a program of speakers and AILG business.
The evening will start with a reception from 6:00 pm; appetizers and soft beverages will be available, along with a cash bar. Dinner will begin promptly at 7:00 pm, with the program starting at 7:45. We are delighted to have Beth Garvin, CEO of the MIT Alumni Association, as our keynote speaker this year. Following Beth’s remarks will be the business meeting, including presentation of an Annual Report to the members, election of two Directors, presentation off the FY 2008 budget, and special presentations to two members of our community.
Each member chapter / ILG is encouraged to send two attendees to the annual meeting, one of whom should be your President or voting delegate. Your undergrad president is also welcome and encouraged to attend. If you would like to have additional attendees, they will be welcome, space permitting. In order to get an accurate count for dinner, we need to receive RSVP’s in advance. Please send your RSVP’s to Bob Ferrara at rferrara (at) MIT.EDU.
