AILG Facilities Committee Meeting 12/18/2019 8:00 am at FCI Office, MIT Student Center W20-020
Attendees: Larry Stabile, Scott Klemm, Pam Gannon, David Lawrence, Dennis Collins, Brad Badgley,
Tom Holtey, Tom Stohlman, Patrick McCabe, Ernie Sabine, and by phone Bob Ferrara and Peter Cooper

BSF: Tom Stohlman reported that all houses inspected. Scott: Good snow removal.

FRSC: Pam Gannon believes that IRDF funding is in place (backstopped by MIT VP of  Finance). VPFinance and Dean S.Nelson need to coordinate and Israel Ruiz needs to approve program.
RFP for a Project Manager issued once financing confirmed.
Phase 1 Doors and egress path 75% grant. Door criteria not per ARUP.
Phase 2 fire alarm 75% grant.
Phase 3 Sprinklers will involve loans.
Focus of schedule should be to introduce the selected PM at the February Plenary.
RFP and design standards should be circulated to Facilities Committee.
RFP circulated to AILG Board. FCI is proposed to be the hiring entity for the PM.

FACILITIES DIRECTOR will also fill Building Safety Facilitator role.
AILG hires FCI which employs BSF/Facilities Director.

HOUSE MANAGER TRAINING:
Brad meets seasonally with undergraduate house managers. Four times per year.
Needs to be one hour, short, intentional, direct.
February leadership retreat for presidents.

GETTING FSILGs into MIT DoF/Housing call-in system is in the works by Scott, Dennis and Peter Cummings.

HVAC Issues Survey in the works by David Lawrence: problems, possible solutions, controls, costs, savings.
