AILG Facilities Committee Meeting of 12/2/2020 10 am via Zoom Attendees: Pam Gannon, Scott Klemm, Tom Stohlman, Tom Holtey, Brad Badgley, Dennis Collins, Larry Stabile, Josh Schuler, Bill Tsacoyeanes Minutes of 11/4 were approved as revised. Brad had nothing to report. Mentioned special AILG meeting with Suzy Nelson tonight. Cambridge inspections and licensing are in good shape. Boston hood cleaning an issue with many. Cleanliness an issue with a few. Josh has brought in outside kitchen cleaner prior to inspection about half a dozen times. Josh described notification process to alumni and GRA about cleanliness. Discussion about need for inspection/hood cleaning even if kitchen not in use. Inspection must happen on prescribed schedule based on equipment in kitchen although if no actual cleaning is necessary and not performed, billing should reflect inspection only ($250) and not cleaning ($500). Old Business: Renewal Program is on hold awaiting updated IRDF capacity information. New Treasurer and Suzy Nelson will need to meet for funding approval. Has not been extraordinary uptake on loan applications to IRDF. Might be due to uncertainty about spring occupancy. Discussion about IRDF loans vs grants. IRDF does not award grants prior to construction completion. Alumni corporations may get loans to start work and then can apply for grant when construction is complete. New Business: Retreat discussion of spring projects tabled due to lead time required to organize. NEXT MEETING 12/16/2020 Notes by Peter Cooper from Zoom recorded transcript. Notes revised with comments from Bill T and Pam.
