AILG Facilities Committee meeting 3/19/2020 9 am via Zoom Attendees: Larry Stabile, Scott Klemm, Pam Gannon, Peter Cooper, Alex Pina, Ernie Sabine, Brad Badgley, Liz Jason, Tom Holtey, Tom Stohlman, Steve Baker, Dennis Collins, Patrick McCabe Security: Two attempted break ins so far. Some Alums don't want to move their students out. MIT requires it based on student safety, food, health service, and their responsibility for undergraduates. Any students in town will be moved to a dorm on campus. Pam reports that Allied Universal Security has been hired to make rolling checks and to check doors and windows. Interior Security: Concern about squatters living in the building. Only five houses have security systems. Scott is exploring motion sensing cameras with notification. Cameras at 3 egress doors and two per floor is about $600-700/building. Walk through service once a day is about $700. Would need access codes for security and local contact info. Moved, seconded and voted to request daily security walk through provided by MIT or a contractor. Larry will communicate this up the chain. Move out help: Dennis reports that dorms providing piece by piece collection and storage. Two sororities using. Meals provided to GRAs at Maseeh and Baker. $$: MIT rebating prorated room and board. Not yet determined how this will flow to FSILGs; maybe through alumni corps. Licensing/inspections: Cambridge on hold. Expect a Health Dept inspection on reopening. No info yet on Boston This is a good time to get work done. Exterminator opportunity. NEXT MEETING March 25 8:00 am. Notes by Peter Cooper [Edits by LAS]
