AILG Facilities Committee Meeting  4/29/2020 9:00 am via Zoom

Attendees: Larry Stabile, Pam Gannon, Scott Klemm, Liz Jason, Ernie Sabine, Tom Stohlman, Brad Badgley, Bob Ferrara, Tom Holtey, Josh Schuler, Patrick McCabe, Peter Cooper

No change in status of buildings since last week.

Mice and rats still present in some buildings. Food left out is primary enabler.

Facility Management service signed up with Chi Phi, Sigma Nu, Theta Xi, about eight total so far.

BSF services now provided by FCI. Agreement signed by Akil for AILG yesterday.

BSF has walked through all houses. [Correction: this in fact hasn't started yet]

Larry will present for Facilities Committee at tonight's AILG Plenary session.

BSF is looking for safety, pests and security. Urging cleanup now rather than later.

Guideline document forthcoming.

Need to clarify when students can get into houses to retrieve belongings.

Josh has a draft FCI process for retrieving belongings and cleanup. Need a Facility Committee communication with the FCI service as an option.  Phasing document will also be informative.

Concern expressed to clarify FCI role/service versus Facility Committee policy.

Larry will draft Facility Committee document.

Existing use of dorms and FSILGs by graduate and undergraduate students will continue into the summer.

Patrick suggested that we get MIT guidance on fall operations. Dennis Collins will be invited to next meeting to discuss preparations Housing is planning for the dorms as guidance for FSILGs.
