AILG Facilities Committee Meeting May 1, 2019 8:00 am FCI Office MIT Student Center W20-020

Attendees: Larry Stabile, Dennis Collins, Tom Holtey, Pam Gannon, Tom Stohlman, Bob Ferrara, Scott Klemm, Ernie Sabine and by phone Peter Cooper

BSF reported that Boston inspector did not show for a day of appointments with 9 houses.

Tom spoke of about seven houses that have problems with inspections.

Some universities have approved party configurations. We might discuss and recommend to DSL and AILG Board to adopt.

FRP Status: about half have been submitted.

FRSC: Pam presented Fire Safety Project Slides. MIT funding still on the table. Systemwide program anticipated. ARUP Door Standard was a concern to committee. DSL wants ARUP Standard. Project model like network upgrade: RFP by Facility Renewal Committee, Project Mgr reports to FRC, FSILG pays 25% and microloans possible. Bob F expressed that upgrades be requird; must have a stick. Must meet safe and healthy living standard.

Tom S. and Scott asked for guidance when they spend inordinate time on a building issue ,for instance helping No6 Club with gypsum board replacement permit after a flood. Tom should be charging for his extra effort. This should be reaffirmed at next Plenary.
