AILG Facilities Committee Meeting 7/17/2019 8 am at FCI Office MIT Student Center W20-020

Attendees: Larry Stabile, Tom Holtey, Scott Klemm, Dennis Collins, Tom Stohlman ,Pam Gannon, Bob Ferrara ,Brad Badgley and Peter Cooper by phone.

BSF, Tom Stohlman, reported that half of the Boston houses have CIs released, half are awaiting documents. Cambridge is having personnel problems; 4 different inspectors; chasing sprinkler reports. Expect to be complete by start of school year. Planning pre-inspections for end of August. Tom will be out of town last half of September.

Pam Gannon reported progress on FRSC. Meeting tomorrow. $6.7M proposal over five years is with Suzy Nelson and Tony Sharron.

IRDF meeting: micro loans less than $100k approved in concept. Student House first to use. Trying to avoid closing costs of a mortgage.

Need process to update house spreadsheet when work complete. Perhaps make Nov 1 due date, same as IRDF grant/loan.

Brad is getting MIT legal advice on his process for social events and residential casual use of roof decks. Will distribute any changes. Tom clarified architectural/building code limit vs social event limit.

ADP has continuing multiple issues. Brad indicated that MIT Committee on Discipline and IFC Jud Com is involved. Fire alarm is one issue. Facilities Committee should communicate to ADP asking when fire alarm trouble alarm will be resolved as a way to apply pressure for resolution.
