AILG Facilities Committee Meeting March 3, 2021 10:00 am via Zoom Attendees: Pam Gannon, Tom Holtey, Bill Tsacoyeanes, Tom Stohlman, Larry Stabile, Bob Ferrara, Ernie Sabine, Brad Badgley, Patrick McCabe, Dennis Collins, Scott Klemm, Josh Schuler, Peter Cooper Minutes of 2/3 meeting were approved with revisions. DSL reported that the Pilot houses are doing fine. Much discussion of certificates of inspection and licenses. Boston is issuing licenses as long as inspection fee has been paid even though inspection has not yet happened. Some electronic Cambridge licenses sent to houses have not yet been forwarded to FCI for posting on dashboard. Patrick’s corporation board has expressed concern with lack of CIs. Tom S. committed to issuing an email to alumni boards explaining the situation. Tom asked FCI to communicate to Alumni Boards which have been inspected by the BSF and are ready for city inspection. Creation of an Alumni Directory was affirmed by the AILG Plenary meeting. The committee discussed the Facility Action Plans (FAPs), There was consensus that the Facilities Committee callers will ask houses about progress on their FAPs and the role of the Facilities Committee will be to document and track the FAPs on an annual basis. There were some questions about the IRDF process, and committee members were referred to the IRDF website (irdf.mit.edu). New Business: Pilot Houses each had some work to be done. Lesson learned is that reopening preparations take time and should not be left to the last minute. Dennis indicated that MIT Housing reopening experienced dry drains, cracked pipes, problem refrigerators, toilet wax seals, tank seals and flapper valves, stoves.
